The Alpine Coffee Shop and Gallery is one of North Wales' most popular Cafes. Situated on Betws-y-Coed railway station at the heart of the Snowdonia National Park it is busy throughout the year. The Coffee Shop, opened in 1973, serves award winning coffee, speciality loose tea/tisanes, smoothies and delicious, quality food including homemade, palm-oil free, fair-trade and free range products.
A wide variety of tastes and dietary requirements are catered for including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free. A takeaway Hiker's Pack is available for walkers and climbers.
Come and try our fabulous Afternoon Tea - it has to be seen (and tasted!) to be believed.
For all the chocoholics out there, the coffee shop now sells a range of quality chocolates including Chocolit by Loius Barnett. Louis supports several different animal organisations including the Orangutan Foundation.
The Cafe is dog friendly (ask about our 'sausages for dogs' loyalty card) and a great place to meet with friends, family or business colleagues. Celebrate a birthday, recover after scaling a mountain or a shopping trip. The decor of the cafe both inside and out is lively and imaginative with its creative wrought-iron artwork and unusual artefacts.
There is also a permanent art exhibition, compromising of photographs, oil paintings and prints to raise awareness of apes in crisis.
